Diseases Caused By Insects And Their Symptoms

The first stage known to be the period where the symptoms will display flu-like symptoms which will last up to four days. Then, the second stage starts 10 days later where severe minigitis, meningoencephalitis and radiculitis are detected and observed on the victim.

Lyme Disease

Lyme disease is caused by an infection from the bacteria carried by Borrelia genus insects which are transmitted through tick bites or Ixodes genus. The bacteria which causes Lyme disease is called Borrelia bacteria. The symptoms of the disease begin with red lesions around the tick bite which then spreads and then disappears after a few weeks. Then, after a few months, signs such as joint pains, paralysis, heart rhythm abnormalities begin to take place on the victim.

Leishmaniases

These are parasites that causes diseases called Leishmania – unicellular parasites that cause infection to the reticulohistiocytic system of humans. While there are various forms that take effect when a person acquires this disease, but one of the most known effect that its’ known to create is chronic ulcers, deterioration on lymph nodes and drop in the blood cell count.

Sleeping Sickness

This disease is also known as Human African Typanosomiasis which is caused by the Trypanosoma Protozoa or parasites that dwell in the blood of hosts. This disease occurs in two stages, the first stage is where the blood parasite is detected in the lymphatic system. The next stage then is called the neurological phase where the central nervous system of the victim is already affected by the parasite on the blood stream.
